This is a Kraft recipe using vegemite, makes a lovely rich sauce for sausages, steak, whatever you like.
- 2 large onions, sliced
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 2 cups water
- 1 tablespoon vegemite
- 2 tablespoons tomato sauce
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- Heat a little oil in a frypan and saute onion until browned a little and cooked through.
- Add flour and cook for 1-2 minutes.
- Stir in combined remaining ingredients and heat until thickened stirring constantly.
