Enjoyed the added flavor of the onion powder, however, the first batch burned when the oven was set @ 400 for 8 min. Second batch, @ 375 for 7 minutes, was perfect. Great with salsa. Made for Aus/NZ recipe swap #57.
This is very good. It's a great snack very healthy. Thanks morgainegeiser :) Made for I Recommend tag game
Great and easy snack. Low-fat, too! I enjoyed the onion flavor. My first batch burned after 7 minutes. So, I had to do a smaller 2nd batch. I reduced the heat and only had them in the oven for about 5 minutes.
Aussie Swap#38: Excellent homemade crackers!! Perfect seasoning as well!
Made for your Wk 16 & Divisional Playoff Football Pool wins, I paired these tasty tortilla crackers w/your Tomato and Avocado Salad a La Caribe for an excellent combo. I expanded the recipe by making some crackers as the recipe was written, but also making 2 other versions using garlic powder & taco seasoning mix. As a matter of pers pref, I added a sprinkle of salt to the onion & garlic powder versions. All were very good & I suspect would also be good as dippers (w/salsa or dip) or as part of a taco or grilled chicken salad. Thx for sharing this tasty recipe w/us & CONGRATS on your Football Pool wins. :-)
Yum! These were so simple and so good. Loved the onion flavor especially. I had the huge burrito tortillas so mine came a little bigger than called for. I kept snacking on these all day long. Thanks morgainegeiser for sharing. Congrats again on your Football Divisional Playoff win.
A wonderful way to eat tortilla chips, without all of the fat and cholesterol usually associated with the shop bought variety. The tortillas crisped up really well (we used very low fat ones!!),and the onion flavour was lovely. I will definately be experimenting with this, and seeing what other flavours would work.
