  1. Mizz Nezz I just has this wonderful onion cheese bread to compliment a seafood chowder and it was heaven! I didn't make it, Derf did but it was so perfect that I had to review it! She sliced lovely 1/2" slices and toasted them - just a perfect companion with the seafood chowder. It is in my cookbook now!

  2. Personally, I'd give this 3 stars and DW gives it 5 stars. So I split the difference. IMHO, the consistency of this is more like a cake or something, not bread-like. The cheese and onion flavours are heavenly though. Thanks for posting!

  3. Delicious! I made the recipe as written, except for shredding the cheese. I sliced it into tiny cubes which made for amazingly tasty little cheese pockets in the baked bread. Yum! I will be making this again, and may even add some jalapenos next time.

  4. So this was a major experiment for me as several things went wrong. 1 - didn't have any bisquick when I thought I did, so I found a substitute recipe that called for veg oil. 2 - didn't have veg oil so attempted to use olive oil. The end result wasn't awful, but I'm sure the original would taste 100 times better! I am planning to have a "re-do" of this one so that I can actually follow the recipe, then I'll re-rate it.

  5. These are delicious! I made exactly as stated only I added about 2 t parsley flakes to the batter. They came out great!

After DH and I moved away from the farm, and to the city...I haven't done as much cooking and very little canning. But I do come to Zaar and look for new recipes once in a while. I'm still cooking Zaar!! I like to play at Facebook, with my family and friends. A lot of my Zaar friends are there!! Yay! It's a good way to keep in touch. We travel more. We're looking at the European trips now. Hope to go in the springtime. I really want to see London, I think I lived there in a past life, I've been obsessed with it since I was 10 years old!!
