My Mum's standby chocolate frosting recipe. Very easy, very tasty! Hope you enjoy!
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 tablespoons water
- 1 ounce semisweet chocolate (1 square) or 1 ounce bittersweet chocolate (1 square)
- 1 cup sugar
- Stir all ingredients in a thick bottomed saucepan over low heat until well dissolved.
- Bring to a boil and boil for exactly one minute.
- Remove from heat and continue to stir until thickened.
This recipe worked out really well! i admit i only tried it because i didn't have any powdered sugar in the house, and i was a little worried when i first took it off the heat. but it thickened up and tasted soooo good on mysterygirl's 1 pan fudge cake.
