An easy recipe to make (no chocolate to melt). Very delicious.
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 1⁄3 cups flour
- 3⁄4 cup baking cocoa
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 cup chopped nuts
- 2⁄3 cup vegetable oil
- 4 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- In a large bowl, combine sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder, salt and nuts.
- Add oil, eggs and vanilla; stir just until moistened.
- Do not overmix.
- Spread in a greased 13x9 pan.
- Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

I usually have baking cocoa in the house and this was perfect as a treat for a child with lots of allergies at Halloween (minus the nuts). He can not have anything with corn syrup and that excludes a whole lot of candy. I baked it for 25 minutes and it was perfect. Wonderful!
