This is yummy!!! I was pleased that the texture was very much like Olive Garden's. Actually I think the texture was better! It stayed smooth and soft was a long time. At OG it sets up after awhile. Part of this could be because we used Smoked Gouda, Provolone, Mozzarella, and Parmesan.
We could not find smoked provolone or mozzarella but the Gouda was great! I love how you can do this in a casserole dish or individual. We threw in sun-dried tomatoes! Wonderful addition!

This is an excellent recipe. I made it with Smoked Mozzarella and Fontina. My friend and I had eaten this at Olive Garden two days before. We both felt that my version was even better than what we had eaten there. I would suggest two things in the preparation. Remove the hard skin from the mozzarella and freeze the cheeses before you grated them to make it easier. Thanks for sharing this.
Delicious. I am currently on the Atkins diet and cannot eat bread, so i put some pepperoni on top instead. It does make it a little greasier but I just pour it off the top. My whole family loves it.
Had this tonight, it was really yummy. It was a little hot for my youngest, I think next time I will leave out the pepper flakes (I liked it with them though).
I made this this weekend for a get together. It went over great! Everyone loved it and it's so close to the real thing! I would suggest adding more red pepper flakes, just didn't have enough kick for me as the real Olive Garden one but was still amazing! I also used a sliced up baguette as the bread, that worked well.
I had a hard time finding the smoked cheeses at my local stores, so I got the Sargento blends that included the fontina, asiago, parmesan, smoked provolone and other cheeses. I mixed 3 cups of the blends with 3 cup of the mozzarella and it turned out great! Thank you for this recipe! I was craving this and I am so happy to have a recipe to make it myself now! :)
I've never tried this appy at OG, and now I'm happy to have found it! I did reduce it by half, and it was a tasty treat! I used smoked provolone and regular mozzarella, and it was great, as the flavor from the thyme was understated, but still present. I think I'll be making this again - so easy to throw together ahead of time and pop in the oven when your guests arrive. Thanks for sharing, Cooks4_6.
Made this and it is truly delicious, my hardest critics(my family) could not get enough ! Changed a few things...and ultimately, mine was 100% better than OG's any day :) Thanks for sharing :)
Exactly like the restaurant version!! Loved it! I used smoked gouda instead of provolone and it turned out great. I will definitely make a smaller amount next time, though.
