I normally am not a huge fan of baked pasta dishes because they tend to be dry. My mother used to make a similar recipe, but hers included sausage and plenty of sauce. I followed this recipe as posted, other than I had 5 cups of homemade marinara to use up and included it all. I also did not add the extra cup of mozzarella before putting on the topping. This was a very saucy, wonderful dinner for a cold Ohio evening. I would definitely make this again!

Superb recipe. Made it the first time when my 11 year old neice requested we go to Olive Garden for the 5 cheese baked ziti. Figured we could make something similar at home. It is a favorite among everyone now. Have added browned ground beef or hot italian sausage(browned, crunbled) to the sauce. It is always delicious. Also using Panko bread crumbs will result in an xtra crispy topping.

I made this dish hoping it would be an exact copy of my fav dish at Olive Garden. The dish was really tasty but not an exact match. I was still on search for recipes that could be an exact match to the ones at Olive Garden. On a whim a bought a as scene on tv recipe book...I know know but the recipes are actually very close to what you would find at the actual restaurant. Here is a link to the website where I bought it if you are intersted.

(Gosh, i forgot to give this 5 stars in my review!!! I had to resubmit!!!!) This is fantastic!!! My family could not stop talking about it. The house smelled wonderful!! We left the table very uncomfortable because we over ate!!! i think the topping would be fantastic on a grilled chicken breast or steak. We can not wait to try that too. This is definetly in our family menu rotation. It was also fun for all of us (my daughters are 11 and 13) to make together!! We made it exactly how the recipe called for and wouldn't change a thing. i think all the different cheese together is what made this fantastic.

I have to agree with another post that said it is not exactly like Olive Garden. It is very good though - my picky son even ate part of a second helping and that NEVER happens. It makes a lot so unless you are feeding a large or very hungry crowd expect leftovers.

Oh my stars...this is absolutely divine!!! My daughter requested this for her b-day when she saw the picture. Even the non-pasta people in our family said it was pretty good (they couldn't resist the aroma!) Thank you for posting a big winner!

My wife and I love this dish at Olive Garden and i'm glad to report this recipe is spot on! I replaced the fonita cheese with smoked provolene and it worked out great. We cut the serving size to make for 3 and it made enough for the 2 of us for a couple nights. very affordable!

My son loves this dish from Olive Garden so I told him I would try to find it on my recipe site and I was happy to find this! It was well liked by my entire family; makes a ton of pasta and I will be making it again! Not low calorie, that's for sure - but a delicious dish to have every now and then!!

I used to love and crave Olive Gardens Five-Cheese Ziti a lot! I started making this as a substitute, instead of actually going to Olive Garden. This recipe doesn't taste 100% like OG Five-Cheese ziti, which is why I just gave this recipe a 4 star rating! This standing alone, not being compared to OG I would say it's probably a 5 star recipe. It's super easy, and extremely tasty!

This dish was awesome and easy! I had Olive Garden's 5 cheese ziti on friday and have been craving it ever since,so I decided to search for a recipe to copy cat! I really think the sauce is exactly the same as the restaurants. I used newman's own marinara (2 jars) and newman's own alfredo (1jar) I also had part fresh mozzarella and part bag. The topping was a little different than Olive Garden, but I think that was due to the flavor of the Italian bread crumbs, I think it would taste more like the restaurant if you used Panko. My husband and kids loved it, my husband thought it was better than the restaurant and he's eaten it 3 meals in a row! This recipe is awesome, and even though it's loaded with cheesy calories..I will be making it again!! YUM!

I made this dish tonight and it came out fantastic! Some subtle differences from Olive Garden, but I found it to be extremely close to the Five Cheese Ziti al Forno dish served at the OG. When I made it, I used a little less parsley and removed all the garlic (we've got a family member with an onion/garlic allergy). For the sauce, I used canned tomato sauce, and made the alfredo sauce from scratch (cream cheese, butter, cream, and parmesan). Everyone thought the dish was fabulous and I'll definitely be making it again soon!

this is my son's favorite dish at Olive Garden. So the first time I made this for him at home he LOVED it. I use the best quality ingredients and cheeses I can find. Now I make it as a special treat for him for birthdays, special occasions. We don't get to Olive Garden often, but when we do, he still orders it there, but swears this recipe is way better. Thanks to whoever added it!!
