My ex's step-mother was a BOMB in the kitchen. For Thanksgiving she rubbed the turkey down with this before cooking. Talk about some good eatin! Prep time is quick, but passive time will depend on how large your bird is, so the 2 hours are a guess.

Ingredients Nutrition

  1. Mix the dry ingredients together well in a small bowl.
  2. Slather the turkey down with the oil and lime juice and massage on the rub.
  3. Bake the turkey at 350 degrees according to how many pounds the bird is. Allow the bird to rest, covered, for 30 minutes.

Thank you so much for this recipe. I used it on our Christmas Turkey and my husband loved it. He said it was the best Turkey he'd ever had. The meat just fell of the bone it was so moist it also made a great turkey soup. Thank you!

Excellent rub!!! The entire turkey was very moist and delicious. Even the breast. PERFECT drippings for gravy. We had a 20lb bird and put it immediately in the oven after it's rub down. Thank you for an easy and delicious recipe.

This was delish! I rubbed under the skin of my big bird and marinated overnight in the fridge. Used Uncle Bill's method of scalding the skin just before cooking. It was a super moist, super flavorful turkey.
