SO YUMMY! i have made it several times and I like it best w/o paprika, hot sauce & oil and a little extra cheese & buttermilk because it always comes out a little too thick. I have replaced my bottled dressings and use only this now. tastes EXACTLY like OSF's. THANK YOU!!!

I'm a fanatic when it comes to Old Spaghetti Factory's pesto dressing--sometimes I'd go there and buy a pint of it! Thanks to this recipe, I'll never have to do that again. Like many others, I left out the oil--it's totally unnecessary--and I substituted the romano for grated parmesan, and it turned out great. In the future I'd probably use a little less mayo, but other than that, it's exactly like the restaurant's!

This is really spot on. I thought the amount of basil was to much, but it wasn't. It was absolutely glorious. I followed this exactly, because I wanted to try this as written first to determine the basil impact ~ and there isn't one thing I would change about this recipe. I understand some might not want to use the extra oil - I used extra-light EVOO, and fat-free buttermilk, but otherwise - stayed true to the recipe, and I'm glad I did. Perfect taste! Thx for posting!

I no longer have to go to the restaurant to get this!
I made it without the hot sauce and I upped the garlic!
      SOOOOOO yummy!

      THANK you for posting this!!!

This is one of my favorite homemade dressings. I use canola oil and always add extra garlic and I add the hot pepper sauce in. It always comes out perfect. Thanks for posting it for others to enjoy.

This was very good. I made it exactly as shown. The type of oil is questionable though. I used oilve oil (thought it would be a little healthier) and think it might have gave it a slightly different flavor. After making and checking other websites, found the same recipe and they say to use vegetable oil. I think this would be a better choice given oilve oil has a more distinct flavor. I will try this again sometime, trying it with vegetable oil, and then without the oil to compare. It tasted pretty close to the original, but was a little off, and might have been because of the olive oil. I also would like to try using fresh basil - "Bam"! A little more garlic wouldn't hurt either.

Well I'm not that dressing savy, and I used the oil and it turned out fan-freaking-tastic. So either-or I'd say.

I always loved this dressing and was so happy to find the recipe. It is so yummy everyone in my house loved it even my picky little sister. The only thing is I dont think it makes 20 servings more like 6 , and I didnt use any oil either but came out perfect. Thanks for posting I make this all the time about once a week! I dont even buy dressing anymore!

I thought it was very good. Everyone liked it. I doubled the recipe and I just used I 3/4 cup olive oil. Other then that made just as is. Thank you for sharing.

My husband and I have been going to the Old Spaghetti Factory since we first started dating, and we've always LOVED their creamy pesto dressing. We've loved it so much that I've often thought about replicating it at home, but never tried--until now. Since the recipe already called for 1 cup mayonnaise, I didn't think the 3/4 cup oil sounded right, so I omitted it. I followed the rest of the recipe exactly and couldn't believe what I was tasting. It tasted just like the Old Spaghetti Factory dressing!! I think if you add the extra oil it will be too oily. I'm not watching my calories either; I just think it's a matter of taste. Without the oil, we think it is exactly like the original. Thank you for a great recipe!!
