- 1⁄2 cup white sugar
- 2 1⁄4 cups water
- 1⁄2 cup lemon juice, freshly squeezed
- 1⁄4 cup cranberry juice, chilled
- In a large pitcher combine sugar, water, lemon juice, and cranberry juice.
- Stir to dissolve sugar.
- Serve over ice.
Wow, what a great lemonade LL. I love the addition of the cranberry juice. It was just the right amount. It was a perfectly balanced lemonade. Refreshing, tart, tangy and sweet. Made for Think Pink 2015.
I made a small serving of this tonight with 2 tbsp. sugar, 9 tbsp. sugar, 2 tbsp. lemon juice, and 1 tbsp. cran-strawberry juice cocktail. I tasted it, and it seemed a bit too strong. So, I filled up most of the rest of the 10 oz. cup I was using with water; and it still didn't seem quite right. Once I added the ice, it was better. But I think it was at its best about halfway through drinking it, as the ice began to melt. So, if I ever make this again, I'll use a little extra water a make a point to let it sit for a few minutes before I drink it.
My grandbabe and I made this together. I'm a mom & grandmom and I know that look...sweet, tender...and right at the perfect moment, too. It makes time stand still...for a little bit. And, I love that baby smell...the good one. Made for A/NZ#56 Recipe Tag.
