This is my favourite ham glaze recipe which I found on Cooks.com recipe site. It doesn't sound very interesting but it sure is delicious! Simple to make too!
- Combine all ingredients.
- To Glaze: 30 minutes before ham is done, pour off drippings and remove skin on shank end of ham. Score fat with whole cloves. Spoon glaze over ham. Put back in oven and finish heating, basting several times with glaze.
- I even use this on the pre-cooked hams, as well.
- Cooking time depends on size and type of ham you are cooking.
This was pretty good. It went well over my ham steaks. It was a little too sweet, so next time I think I will cut the sugar to 1/2 a cup.
Great flavor. I upped the mustard quite a bit since we love that flavor. Used this on a small precooked ham, so we didn't have to bake it very long. Very tasty.
wonderful on our easter ham..dh loved it...i used only 1/2 cup brown sugar but kept the mustard and vinegar the same...used the 4 Tbsp vinegar...i'll be using this recipe again
