I thought this wasn't bad with additional salt which I try to stay away from. My husband thought it was okay but nothing special.

We thought this was very good. I liked that it wasn't too heavy, like chowders made with cream. I used fresh corn and added fresh jalepenos for a little zing. I didn't top it with cheese but did give it a few good shakes of franks before eating. Thank you for posting this recipe. I'll be making it again.

This is a wonderful recipe for potato and corn chowder! The green onion and cheese adds so much! Really simple to follow directions and can be put on the table in no time at all! Thanks for sharing!

My husband and I loved this recipe. Super easy, very good and inexpensive comfort food. I did make a few changes. I cooked one small onion in two tablespoons of butter then added the water, corn, potatoes, salt and pepper. I used one cup of milk and one cup of heavy cream which I did not bother to heat before going into the pot. I also used 2 tablespoons of water & 2 tablespoons of flour mixture. The soup was thick and creamy like a chowder is suppose to be. We topped the soup bowls with crumbled bacon, chives and cheddar cheese. I will be making this over and over. This was very good. I felt like it was missing something but I can't put my finger on what. It was better the next day for lunch; maybe it just needs some time for the flavors to blend.

I Love this chowder, You can do so much to it, change it up and its easy and cheap and makes great leftovers. Ofcourse I added more flour to make it a little thicker. Loved it! Thank you for sharing!

This is a great basic chowder which can be easily modified to fit what you have on hand or preferred ingredients.

This is the BEST! We loved it. I pretty much went by the book. Served with sides of bacon bits, Monteray jack cheese, and scallions. Oh Boy, it was so good. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe. It is a keekper for sure. Tweeky

Great base recipe that tastes fine as written but which can be taken in several directions. love the simplicity of it. Saved me on a Friday night when I didn't really want to cook.
