Excellent okra recipe! I added black beans, served it over plain cous-cous and it was a great hit! Thank you Chief Jack! Yummy!
I'm not from the south but this dish makes me wonder else I've been missing! I made it at the fire station with hot smoked sausage and served it over brown rice. Every guy on our engine company went back for thirds. Definitely a hit!

This is a great veggie medley ,and for me a great introduction to okra. I did add the bell pepper early and cooked it with the rest for 5 minutes. Then I added the okra, I used frozen, just add the end, basically just warming it up with the rest. Great side dish. If you are feeding 4-6 people, you might want to double everything.
Great way to eat your veggies! I added a Tbsp of Worchestershire sauce and some frozen corn. The okra was just tender and all the flavors blended well. A very colorful side dish. Thanks, Carole in Orlando

I made this the other day and it was really tasty..I would probably use a little less of the Italian seasoning..other than that..this was delicious and I will be making this again..this is also good cold for lunch..thanks for a great recipe
