This is absolutely WONDERFUL. What a great way to eat rolled oates!!! All my favorite ingredients and so easy to make. I prefer this as a breakfast dish (then I can eat it AGAIN later in the day as a desert). :-) Thanks for sharing a great recipe.
I loved this! It's surprising how creamy the oat mixture gets. Okay, I didn't make this exactly because I didn't have any fruit. I used only the oats, soy milk, strawberry yogurt, lemon juice and cinnamon. It was delicious and creamy! I will definitely make again using fruit and nuts. This to me makes only one serving size!
Mine turned out to be an interesting fruit salad. It was okay.
This was interesting. I didn't like the texture too well, and I didn't like the hazelnuts. Also, when I went to put my raspberries in, which I had just bought specifically for this recipe, I noticed they were all moldy! So I left those out, and that would have made it better I suppose. Don't think I'll be making this again, but it was very healthy and worth a try!
AHHH!(nice warm feeling). Just finished eating a late breakfast of this oh so yummy cereal. Had put this up to soak last nite knowing that I was going to tweak it a little bit by using fresh strawberries instead, but I found that I tweak a bit more but still stayed true to the recipe. Here's what I changed beside the berries: used only one tsp of lemon juice(fresh), used a BIG dash of cinnamon, used strawberry yogurt since I was using fresh strawberries already. I also used a Red Delicious apple...and the apple describes this in full...DELICIOUS! Thanks Pets, for another keeper!
I made this without hazlenuts and with fresh blackberries. It was creamy and very filling. Something about the texture was odd though. I might experiment with other fruits.
This was a very nice breakfast, and it was indeed quite creamy. Raspberries weren't on sale this week, so I used a fresh sliced peach instead. I also omitted the hazelnuts. Needed a bit of sugar or honey, but maybe that was just because I used plain yogurt and a tart apple (Granny Smith). I usually have hot cooked oatmeal for breakfast, but this is a very good alternative, especially in hot weather. Thanks very much for a delicious breakfast. UPDATE: I tried this again using raspberries and a sweeter apple (no hazelnuts) -- also very good!
