Simple, easy & delicious. So much better than those packets. Nice that you can add or substitute fruit or other items as desired. Smells yummy cooking. Found this on Sweet Happy Life.
- Combine all ingredients in a saucepan.
- Bring to a boil and reduce to medium heat stirring frequently, about 5 minutes until milk is absorbed.
- Remove from heat and cool for several minutes.
This was a great breakfast. The maple syrup and brown sugar gave it just the right touch of sweetness. But cooking the oats in milk (I usually cook them in water) gave it such a creamy texture that was a pleasant surprise. Thank you for sharing your recipe, Queen Puff. Made for Fal 2012 Pick-A-Chef.
This is a delicious recipe! The ingredients are perfectly proportioned to where the oatmeal is not too sweet, but also has a good amount of flavor.
This was so delicious! It tasted like a classic, I've never cooked oatmeal in milk either! It came out creamy and just sooooo delicious!!! Thanks so much for sharing!!!
