    Ingredients:

    Crust

    • 1 (9 inch) unbaked pie crusts

    Filling

    Topping

    Directions:

    1. 1
      Combine apples with sugar, flour and cinnamon.
    2. 2
      Spoon filling into pastry lined 9" pie plate.
    3. 3
      Combine rolled oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon.
    4. 4
      Cut in butter until it resembles coarse crumbs.
    5. 5
      Spoon topping over apple filling.
    6. 6
      (Pie can be frozen at this point, add 20 minutes to baking time, bake frozen) Bake in a preheated 375 oven for 35 minutes.

      The topping didn't work out for me at all. Had to add flour and oatmeal to make it crumbly. As written it was a paste like substance and wouldn't have covered the pie.

      This is my new favorite apple pie. Similar to a really great apple crisp. Delicious!
