This homey pie doesn't sound like much, but it is delicious.

Not an amazingly addicting pie, but not bad at all. Especially considering i used a frozen pie crust, splenda and light syrup. Good for the sake of being healthy, and even the people eating it who wern't looking at nutrition enjoyed.

A strange pie--not what I was expecting. It separated into layers after baking with a kind of custardy maple layer on the bottom, and a crunchy oatmeal layer on top. Looks a little like a pecan pie. Very earthy. The cinnamon and cloves are very nice, and you can really taste them in the final product. I'm not sure I would make it again, but it was fun to see what it would be like. DH just scarfed down a piece happily!
