Oatmeal Pie

"I was hooked on this pie from the first bite! It has become a tradition at our Thanksgiving dinners. I use a little less sugar than the recipe calls for, but you may want to follow the recipe the first time."

  2. This is one of the best Oatmeal Pies I have ever had!!! I went ahead and cut back on the sugar and it was perfect for us. Now I have to go so I can get another piece!!! Thanks so much for sharing this, Neaner. :-)

  3. This review is based on my hubby, who has the worlds biggest sweet-tooth!! EXCELLENT!! I found it way too sweet for my taste but it was very tasty!! You don't need a very big slice of this one!! Very easy and looks really appetizing. We'll be making this one again! (very soon according to hubby!!)

  4. My first Oatmeal Pie, and it was dee-lish! I'm giving it 5 stars even though I had to make some emergency modifications! Based on some reviews about it being too sweet, I omitted the granulated sugar completely. Because I was short on some other ingredient amounts, I added 1 more egg, substituted part of the light corn syrup with honey to make a total of 1 cup, reversed the oatmeal and coconut amounts, and left out the milk altogether. I don't know how close in taste mine was to the recipe, but I was determined to make this pie one way or another! What I ended up with was scrumpdillyumptious!
