Oatmeal Orange Craisin Cookies

"Wonderful flavor; can't stop eating them! My mom used the original Quaker Oats recipe and added the orange peel and juice and then some juicy Craisins! Wow!"

  • Heat oven to 350 degrees. Beat shortening, sugars, and egg together. Heat orange juice and orange peel together in microwave for 1 minute. Mix vanilla and almond extracts with orange juice until creamy. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Spoon onto greased cookie sheet. Bake until golden brown.

  1. Great recipe and just made a triple batch so grandkids could bring some home. Believe recipe should read: 1 tsp soda 1/2 tsp salt
