Oatmeal Honey Waffles

"Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. I often make oatmeal during the week - always with honey. This recipe blends 2 of my favorite ingredients to make one of my favorite breakfast treats -- waffles! Yummy! I generally serve this with a side of cinnamon applesauce. ***Please note -- probably not the best "in a hurry" waffle, should do this when you have plenty of time!"

  1. Wonderful, wonderful! Oatmeal in waffles, what more can I say! I enjoy waffles and love oatmeal. The honey gives these waffles just a hint of sweetness. I was also able to make these gluten free by using my favorite gluten free flour mix and gluten free oats. I also added 1 tablespoon of ground flax seed to up the nutrition content of the waffles. Thanks for posting this Kittycatmom! Made for Fall 2009 PAC.
