  1. Delicious! These are great cookies. I used softened butter instead of shortening, added a bit of cinnamon and omitted the nuts and raisins. I really liked the flour to oatmeal ratio in these, it gave them a wonderful texture. Thanks Michelle!

  2. Great recipe - made it several times now and it's turned out well each time, even though we played around a little with the ingredients. They do seem to flatten out in my oven! Thanks

  3. This is a great crispy oatmeal cookie. I made it as a Christmas cookie leaving out the nuts, chocolate chips and raisins. I topped the cookies with pieces of crushed candy canes before baking.

  4. These cookies were yummy, and wonderful warm and soft out of the oven! We added in dried cranberries as well, and it turned out great. They need to be flattened with a fork, like a peanut butter cookie, before baking, or else they won't flatten themselves. It made about 30 cookies. Thanks for the great oatmeal cookie recipe!

  5. I found this to be an easy and tasty recipe. Good Cookie!
