This is one of the best apple pies EVER!!! My family has switched wanting my mom making the apple pie at Thanksgiving to me making it because they love this one so much!!people found this review Helpful. This pie was fabulous!!! 250 g of butter is about 2 sticks, and 200 ml of sugar is just under a cup. I would use less sugar next time, though, as the sauce was just a little sweet. I will probably cut it to about 1/2-3/4 cup. The crust was absolutely delicous, though, and super easy. I'm one of those people who can't make a classic pie crust, but this one was very simple. It was sort of chewy, like an oatmeal cookie. I will absolutely make this often. Thanks for the recipe!people found this review Helpful. You can only vote others' reviews helpful or not helpful... Yum! Mine turned out delicious!! I love the crust, and to make it simpler i just used two butter sticks. I dind't have corn flour, so i used regular flour. Also, i made it in a 9 inch pie tin and only needed to use 4 apples. The clove and nutmeg give it a great flavor! I will definately make this again!people found this review Helpful.
