Make and share this Oatmeal Cleanser recipe from Food.com.
- Place all ingredients in blender or food processor and blend on high until smooth and creamy.
- Store in an airtight container.
- To use: Gently massage into your skin; rinse well with tepid water and pat dry.
- Optionally add 1-2 drops tincture of benzoin as a preservative if desired.
The cleanser is very thin/watery, which I wasn't really expecting since it says to blend until smooth and creamy. After blending, I realized the water to oatmeal ratio would cause it to be thin. My definition of creamy is evidently not the same as the book author (Janice Cox). In my opinion, it is best to use while in the shower as otherwise it makes a mess if you try to clean your face over the bathroom sink. The upside is that it made my skin feel very soft.
