Made for RSC #11. Very good scone recipe. I have never made scones with oatmeal before. I really liked the flavors of the orange, cinnamon and craisins together. I followed the directions exactly, but found that I also needed to add more flour to keep the dough from being too sticky. Overall, a very good recipe with a wonderful flavor.

Five stars. This recipe is deadly to a diet ... I could not stop with just one!! The lovely mixture of flavors and textures made these scones a real treat ... it doesn't hurt that they also have more nutritional value than regular scones. The only alteration I needed was adding five minutes to the baking time and that could be due to variation in ovens. Excellent Recipe - well deserving of five stars!

These are very good with a delicate orange flavor. A nice use of contest ingredients. These made a delicious breakfast treat. The scones took an additional 10 minutes or so to bake. Good luck in RSC #11.

Delicious! We loved the combination of orange, cranberry, pecans and cinnamon in these scones. These go together fairly quickly and the directions were easy to follow. I would have given this recipe 5 stars, but I found that I had to add almost 1/2 cup additional flour to the dough as it was very wet and impossible to knead as written. I made this recipe twice to be sure that I didn't make an error somewhere. It was the same both times. Once I added the additional flour, the end results were wonderful. We really enjoyed them with our coffee in the morning. Overall, this is a great recipe and I will be making them again. Good luck in the contest.
