Directions

  1. Cream butter and sugars.
  2. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well.
  3. Sift dry ingredients and add gradually to wet ingredients; mix well.
  4. Add oats, 1 cup at a time, chocolate chips, coconut or pecans and mix.
  5. Spread dough evenly into ungreased 15 X 10 inch pan.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.

Yummy, and great to make with ingredients I had on hand. Flavor was great, and texture was chewy and good. I halved the recipe and used a 9x9 square pan. I had to bake them for 50 min. which might have been my oven or the fact that my pan was deeper than called for. I lined the pan with foil and sprayed, so when they were cool I flipped them out onto a cutting board and peeled off the foil to slice.
