slight variation on the oat cakes from Canyon Ranch's superfoods menu


  1. Preheat oven to 350º.
  2. Dice onion and garlic. Heat pan, add olive oil, pepper flakes. Saute garlic and onion in olive oil until translucent in large saute pan.
  3. Add milk, steel cut oats, salt, pepper. Cook ~15 minutes. Stir in scallions.
  4. Oil 9"x13" pan. Pour in oat mixture. Bake for 15 minutes. Broil for 5 minutes.
