I found this recipe from a friend when I was in college. She said her aunt gave it to her for her hope chest recipe book. I don't think people do "hope chests" anymore, but this recipe won't ever become obsolete because it is yummy! Make sure you don't over bake the crust! I have done it a few times and had to start again because it got too hard and crispy. My sisters have all asked for this recipe. They make it for baby showers and parties.
- Press dough into greased 9x13 pan. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes. DO NOT OVER BAKE. Remove from oven and cool slightly. Then, melt the chocolate chips and stir in the peanut butter. Spread this on dough after it is slightly cooled. Cut into squares when completely cooled.
I remember my grandma making these when everyone came to her house on Sunday afternoons. It didn't take long for the grandkids to eat them up! These are the best! Can't wait to make some for my kids!
