    One of mom's sure-fire, hand-me-down recipes. These don't get much easier. Yield is definitely going to vary depending on how thick/thin you roll your dough and size of your cuts.

    Ingredients:

    Directions:

      Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

      DOUGH:.

      Mix oleo, flour, and cream cheese together; refrigerate 2 hours.

      FILLING:.

      Mix together 2/3 cup of sugar with either the walnuts or poppy seed. Beat egg whites until stiff; add to filling mixture.

      Remove dough from refrigerator; roll out on powdered sugar surface.

      Cut into 2 inch strips; fill.

      Fold both sides in over the filling.

      Cut and bake folded side down.

      Bake 10-15 minutes. Cool on wire racks.

      Store tightly covered; dust with powdered sugar before serving.

      Bake at 350 degrees.
