Posted for ZWT6. Vietnamese Hot Sauce.
- 1⁄2 cup vietnamese fish sauce (Nuoc Mam)
- 1 cup water
- 1⁄2 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons lime juice
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1⁄2 teaspoon asian red chili paste or 1⁄2 teaspoon hot sauce
- 1⁄2 carrot, chopped
- Combine all the above ingredients.
- Stir until sugar dissolves.
This was delicious. I cut the recipe in half and served with Spring Rolls. Made for Zaar Cookbook Tag game 2013.
