  1. Grease a loaf pan well.
  2. Preheat oven to 325degrees F.
  3. Cream margarine with sugar.
  4. Beat in egg.
  5. Add flour, salt, baking powder, milk, and bananas.
  6. Pour into loaf pan.
  7. Bake for about 1 hour.
  8. Cool well and slice.

Thanks for sharing this tasty bread Lynn, it was quick and easy to make with great flavor. The texture was light and dense at the same time. I had to cook it for over 1 1/2 hours and it was still a little undercooked, but it was great toasted, the flavor is outstanding. Made for ZWT7 for my friend.

Made as posted using the amounts as listed. The bananas gave it a very good banana flavor and liked that it made for nice slices on the serving platter.

Made for ZWT 4 African Dessert Challenge: For the 1 cup of sugar called for, I used 1 cup of corn syrup and decreased the 1 cup of milk to 3/4 cup of milk. I also used only three bananas,(that was all I had). Baked for 1 1/2 hours. It tasted great. Kids loved it. It wasn't really sweet like some banana breads are. Don't know if that was because of the corn syrup. Will make again with original ingredients. Thank you. The Mamma Mias!
