      I had lots of fun with this recipe turning it into a delicious breakfast hot cereal. First I ground brown basmati to a meal consistency and cooked it with a little bit of milk, water and pinch of salt for 15 minutes. Then I melted the butter and warmed the dibs stirring in the spices (saffron threads for turmeric) and adding a little bit of dark brown sugar; cooking a minute or two until the spices were fragrant. Spooned the cereal into a bowl, topped with the butter-dibs mixture, added a dollop of plain yogurt and a garnish of toasted pistachios! Yum! Thanks for posting the recipe!
