This cake always gets rave reviews. A note about the name: The recipe card called this German Apple Cake. However, I once served this to German guests and they had never seen an apple cake like it. So now we call it Not German Apple Cake, instead. From a My Great Recipes card.
Directions:

Place chopped apples in lightly salted water while preparing the batter.

Beat together oil and white and brown sugars. Add eggs, one at a time, until well blended.

Sift together dry ingredients. Add to egg-sugar mixture, mixing well.

Stir in well drained apples, nuts, and vanilla.

Spread evenly into lightly oiled and floured bundt or tube type pan.

Bake at 325 for 1 1/2 hours or until done. Cool in pan 20 minutes. Turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.

To make glaze, mix all glaze ingredients in a small sauce pot and bring to a boil. Boil 1 minute. Cool slightly, spread over cake.
