I rolled my cookies with ground pecans instead of almonds and filled them with strawberry jam, these were a big hit. Thanks for the great recipe!

These cookies, too simple a name, are HEAVENLY delite. I was concerned at first, not being a supercook as far as baking is concerned. But wanted to make them for my new father-in-law, who is of Norwegian descent. I only ate one, had filled them with different types of preserves. Now have to hide the rest until Christmas to make sure there will be some left to take on my trip. Thank you for this wonderful recipe, which is easy even for a novice :) Annabel

These cookies were a huge hit at our 2nd grader's heritage festival -- everyone young and old loved them! I thought I burned the last batch, but they were just as good as the rest. Thank you.
