These were fantastic! I left the dough in the fridge overnight & it was still very easy to work with. I made the first batch of 12 and my three guests watching television ate them ALL in two minutes. I'm making another 4 dozen for Easter. Thanks so much for the great recipe!

Very good. Next time I'll double the almond extract because we couldn't really taste it. I rolled them in sugar and then flattened them slightly and they came out glittery and very pretty.

These are really good. I had problems with the dough coming together and staying together. The first pan I baked off this morning didnt spead out but I think my dough was still too cold. The next pan were really nice, much lighter then the first. I used a slice of almond and a piece of cherry on top.

I have never been very good at making cookies from scrach, but with this recipe I am now the cookie goddess..lol! They were AMAZING! I followed the recipe exactly except I put red sprinkles on top. My hubby ate a bunch and then didn't eat dinner. I will be making these every year for Christmas. Thank you a bunch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just loved these cookies. They were so light and crispy. I dipped my glass in sugar instead of the flour. I can't wait to make these again!

Wow! These are so good! I was planning to freeze some, but my 5 year absolutely loves them so they won't last that long! I used half almond and half cherry extract; not sure if it made a difference, but I really like cherry and almond together so thought I'd try it. I ended up with 30 very thin and crisp cookies. Thanks for a great Scandinavian recipe to add to my repertoire!

These cookies are great. They turn out kind of like a lighter shortbread. I used vanilla extract instead of almond, as that was what was in my cupboard. I also used 1 cup of whole wheat flour and 1 cup all-purpose flour. It gave them a nice "speckle". As I was working the dough into the balls, I found that it started to get warm. As it got warmer, I noticed that it got softer and gooey-er. If you are a slow roller like I am, chill between trays. We ran out of cherries, so we used peanuts, grape jelly and marmalade on top. Whatever we could get our hands on! These could be very easily adapted. Next time, I want to spread the jam or jelly out a bit and then after the cookies are baked, make a sandwich by placing another plain cookie on top. DIVINE! Great recipe Laurie!
