My new favorite dipping sauce! Wontons, egg rolls, lumpia, dim sum... I even enjoy it poured over rice. You can make this as spicy as you like or leave out the heat entirely. Recipe by Chef Terrence Khuu of Milpitas' Bleu Ginger.
- 1⁄4 cup soy sauce
- 1⁄4 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons hot water
- 3 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- wasabi powder (optional) or chili paste with garlic, to taste (optional)
- In a small bowl, stir together all ingredients.
Perfect balance of sweet, sour and salty. Served with Salmon Nori Slice #453174.
Cookie this was excellent Had it on our eggrolls . This will be our dipping recipe from now on. thanks for posting . Made for zwt6 for the Xtra hot dishes
My DD wanted to make sushi and I came across this dip. Previous dips I've made tasted too much like straight soy sauce. This was great! I didn't use the optional ingr. and used juice from 1 lime. Thanks so much Cookiedog!
