Very good. The flavor of this was excellent - the buttery flavored noodles and the nice chunks of hot apple, along with the apple pie spice made this taste like an apple pie.MMMMM. I used approx 3 1/3 cups of dry noodles.
I made this kugel as a side dish for pork chops. Since I was also serving baked apples, I left out the raisins and apple. It was delicious! A perfect accompaniment.
Our whole family thought it tasted good, but it didn't hold together like I expected. Next time I think I'll double it, but add an extra egg (3 total).
very like the kugel I make-sometimes I add dates & apricots and it is always successful. When my daughters were little they picked out the fruit...but not today!
This is delicious, but it is still pretty sweet for dinner. Usually I try to match it with something light or sour-ish for some contrast, or I skip dessert (maybe). I'm not a raisin person so I always leave them out, still very tasty.
This was absolutely wonderful. I paid attention to what Heather had said, and was very aware of the amount of noodles. I used the exact amount of water called for, and then added noodles to just under the water line. I used double the amount of raisins called for, and used pumpkin pie spice. The kids loved it. It will be great for breakfast, too!
