Noni's Bread Pudding

"I got this recipe from a friend of mine years ago when she got back from New Orleans. She took a cooking class in the city and shared it with me. I've been grateful ever since."

  1. Very good bread pudding and couldnt be easier to make. We did use the french bread but Cranraisins since I had them on hand. Let it rest for 30 minutes before putting it in the oven and again after taking the pudding out of the oven so the center could set. Mixed dried fruit or dried cherries would also be delicious. Made and reviewed for Pick A Chef Orphanage - Fall 2012.

I love to cook, no doubt about it. All of my family gatherings inspire lots of new menus and recipes. I love all kinds of foods from different countries and I try to mimic as many as I can. I am lucky to have such a brave family that eats or at least tries all of my accomplishments and failures in the kitchen. Right now I am really into perfecting my pancakes and fried chicken. I've kind of gone back to the basics in the kitchen that a lot of people overlook or rely on convient frozen or boxed versions. When I'm not cooking I'm entertaining 3 children, a dog and 3 cats...and a husband too!
