I'm glad I stir a few times like you said in the 20 minutes, cause there was no liquid left after 12 minutes. So I added another cup of chicken stock and let cook another 5 minutes additionnal (so total 25 minutes). I used an italian cheese I bought the other day (Fontal) This is so creamy. It's almost like a risotto for me. Thanks ChefPotPie :) Made for I recommend tag game

This is a very nice base recipe. I used aborio rice and it was fab. Next time I think I'll add some mushrooms with a beef broth base. Thanks!

We really enjoyed this side dish. I cut the butter back to 2 T., and I left out the garlic as I was serving it with a very garlicky main course. Otherwise I followed the directions exactly, and we will definitely add this to our keeper file.

This rice was great! I used sharp white cheddar and parmesan for the cheese. Served with Steak and peas. It was easy to make and nice to have something a little different from plain rice. Thanks for posting! Made for ZWT5 :)

Very easy and very tasty, and wonderfully garlicky. I did - on the whim of the moment - add some cumin with the onion and garlic. :) I used breezermom's Basic Chicken Stock and added a good handful of baby spinach leaves in step 4 with a mix of feta, parmesan and cheddar. Seriously yummy. Thanks for sharing this super recipe. Made for Ali Baba's Babes for ZWT 5.

This was easy and very tasty. I used a small onion and a shallot, and shredded some gruyere (to give it a real French twist). I will definitely be making this again. Made for the Groovy GastroGnomes for ZWT5.

Nice fast rice. Butter and chicken stock can't go wrong for fluffy rice. I used red onions cause that's what I had and added in some zucchini ribbons. Thanks :) Made for ZWT 5.

Very, very good! I decreased the butter to 2 Tbl., used Uncle Ben's brown rice and added an extra 1/4 cup of stock. It took 35 minutes to cook. I used grated romano cheese. I will make this often. It's so quick, easy and tasty.

This is fantastic! I was a little worried when I was chopping a whole onion to go into just one cup of rice, but wow. I'm glad I didn't change the recipe. Very savory and flavorful, and easy too. I'll definitely make this again.

An aromatic and flavorful rice. I made it to go along side Crispy Sole Dijon and it was a perfect companion! Thanks for sharing this keeper with us all, I know I will make this again and again!

*Reviewed for Zaar World Tour 3* Really great flavour and so easy to make. Maybe I had the pilaf cooking a little high-just needed to add some extra stock. The cheese gae it creaminess at the end

I made this to serve with Chicken Sauté With White Wine and Tomatoes. The flavor combinations were fantastic. As the broth I used was well seasoned, I left off the additional salt. Made for ZWTIII. Thanks PotPie.

Simple and full of flavor. I had some French cheese so I mixed it with Parmesan since all cheese is worthy of worship! This is an excellent side dish! Zaar World Tour 3. PotPie is a Diva that Rocks!

I used this recipe, along with Recipe #180058, and and created quite the MasterPiece! Thank you so much for posting this recipe....what a great addition to a great meal! I am out of garlic (bad timing!!!), so used garlic powder (a pathetic substitution, but what can I say? I live 50 miles from a decent grocery store!). *Made for ZWT 3 French Region*

Made this for company tonight and my friend took the recipe with her! I made it with beef broth because I served it with marinated flank steak. Thanks for posting.
