  1. This is EXACTLY how I was taught to make it, 20 years ago (minus the mandarin slices, and walnuts instead of almonds). Time to make a batch again.

  2. made this for the thanksgiving gathering and didn't have a bit left over, some people wanted the recipe, wouldn't change a thing. this is a great recipe and one that im sure to make again. thank you for posting

  3. Delicious ambrosia! I left out the almonds and added maraschino cherries. I also only used an 8 oz tub of cool whip, I think 16 oz would have been too much. Will definitely use this recipe again!

  4. I was looking for an ambrosia recipe without the sour cream and this was so YUMMY! I only used 8 oz of cool whip as I bought the wrong size and it was perfect. I also used extra oranges and pineapples instead of fruit salad... GREAT recipe!

  5. Just divine, the marshmallows eventually get soft and just melt in to the dessert! YUMMY!

I grew up in New Jersey with an Italian mother, and Ukranian father. Needless to say I developed a love for a wide variety of foods! I love the Polish Ukranian influence my paternal side brought forth, as well as the traditional Italian cuisine from my mother's side of the family. For me, I have a passion for chocolate and desserts! I always use real butter, rich cream, sugar, and real vanilla, but I understand why we substitute them, and believe all of my recipes fare well with the substitutions, if you choose to do so. I only use salt in my potatoes, so don't expect to see too much of it in any of my recipes!Every recipe I publish has been time tested, and tasted, and raved about! So I guarantee, you'll be happy with every one you try! Thanks for visiting! I hope you come back again!
