I found this in an old newspaper clipping tucked inside a cookbook I bought at an auction. It said the recipe came from Mrs. John Ketelsen of Somers (Calhoun county).

  1. Mix in order of recipe. Do not add more flour. Drop by teaspoon on a greased cookie sheet.
  2. Flatten each cookie with the flat bottom of a water glass that has been dipped in white granulated sugar. These are baked as soon as they are mixed; re-kneed to cool dough.
  3. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
