I'm not rating this because I would never make a dish with jarred sauce. However, I do love greens with meat sauce (gravy) over them. Arugula is great as is spinach, endive, etc. I tend to like more of a bitter green. Also try escarole stir fried in a little olive oil and garlic.

Well, this was a pleasant suprise! I really enjoyed the crunch of salad with hot spagetti sauce. I made my sauce with cooked chopped eggplant instead of the meat and added lots of extra veggies to my salad. Next time I may try cutting my lettuce into thin strips to be more like spagetti! Very good idea dr stever!

This one was just so different that I had to try it. I scaled it back to 1 serving and made it for lunch. I'm not generally a "meat in my sauce" kind of a girl so I used some frozen soy crumbles instead of the turkey. I then added some leftover sauce I had in the fridge. To some prebagged salad I had in the fridge I added a balsamic vinegar/olive oil dressing. Then I stood at the stove for a minute because I could not get myself to add the salad to the pan. But I did, and it was very good. Not the prettiest looking meal, but very tasty. The balsamic worked beautifully with the sauce. I think next time I may put some balsamic on the lettuce but leave off the oil. Thanks for a neat one to try!
