10 stars. Pound cakes that have sour cream usually come out densed and heavy. Not this one. Light, buttery, rich, absolutely wonderful. KEEPER!!!! Thank you for sharing this recipe. Wow.
This is the BEST pound cake on earth PERIOD!!!! The recipe is easy to follow and even "newbies" like myself, can make it. I especially like the texture which is moist and light unlike many pound cakes that are dense and sometimes dry. This was my first time baking a cake that did not come from a box and it was a hit at our "Sunday Dinner" Thank-you for sharing this recipe. The only problem I have with this recipe is everyone wants me to bake one for them. :)
Best pound cake EVER!!!!!
I almost wish I had never made this pound cake because now that is all I hear..."bring that pound cake"! It is fabulous, rich and - did Isay fabulous? Kathy Mission, Kansas
No Fail Sour Cream Pound Cake ~ didn't fail me either : ) I made as directed and had excellent results. I plan to serve this cake with blueberries, vanilla ice cream and a dollop of whipped cream on top. I used a small, decorative bundt cake pan which is smaller than an average sized bundt pan, so this amount of batter also made 9 cupcake sized cakes as well which I plan to freeze for future to use with strawberries! Thanks for another winning recipe, ~*~Ang11002~*~!
Very good very easy
Best cake ever will definitely make it again . Added 2 cups of blueberries and 2 tablespoons of orange zest . Also 2 tablespoons of high pup orange juice.
Very Good Pound Cake. This made 2 9x5 loaf pans. I decided to add in about 1/2 cup of chocolate chips, and went over real well! Everyone had seconds, lol! Thanks for posting this basic, moist, pound cake Ang.
This is just like the recipe that my father used, except his recipe has 1/4 teaspoon salt. It is a delicious cake with a wonderful texture. Best pound cake I've ever eaten.
Delicious Cake Ang! Moist and tender!
