Make and share this No Fail Sour Cream Pound Cake recipe from Food.com.
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
- Cream butter& sugar.
- Add eggs one at a time.
- Slowly add flour.
- Add baking soda to sour cream, then add to mixture.
- Add vanilla.
- Spray bundt pan w/ Baker's Joy.
- Pour batter into pan.
- Bake for 1 hour 15 minutes.
10 stars. Pound cakes that have sour cream usually come out densed and heavy. Not this one. Light, buttery, rich, absolutely wonderful. KEEPER!!!! Thank you for sharing this recipe. Wow.
This is the BEST pound cake on earth PERIOD!!!! The recipe is easy to follow and even "newbies" like myself, can make it. I especially like the texture which is moist and light unlike many pound cakes that are dense and sometimes dry.This was my first time baking a cake that did not come from a box and it was a hit at our "Sunday Dinner" Thank-you for sharing this recipe. The only problem I have with this recipe is everyone wants me to bake one for them. :)
