sounds great but if you are going to freeze it how do you not over cook rice? and I want to use this recipe for 25 people. I need to make it asap and freeze it in a big aluminum pan ( how long would it take to thaw out at room temp. then how long to cook. & what temp then it would stay warm over one of those sterno servers there are two sterno's and a metal rack then a lg.pan with water in it then the pan with your food on top of the water to keep it warm and not dry out. Like they serve at weddings and such. Also I really need this info fast !!!Sure hope you can help thanks. alot. Grammie "B"

This was really good. Added a chicken breast and it was a filling whole meal. Everyone in the family ate it...which is almost unheard of in my house! Thanks for the great recipe jaynine...

flavor is good. But I might prefer a recipe that doesn't require cooking the rice first. seems like it should be plausible that a casserole could do that while baking. If nothing else, I'd advise adding more broccoli & being sure not to over-cook your rice.

Terrific flavor! I used mushrooms and real cream instead of the soup that was called for. I also did not follow the recipe to the letter--just threw in the basic ingredients unmeasured. It was awesome!

I made this as a side for Mother's Day dinner. Everyone loved it. My father in law even asked me to make it for Father's Day. I left out the onion (my DH hates it) and didn't let the rice get too soft when I cooked it before adding to the recipe. Definitely a keeper.

I cook my rice in chicken broth for more flavor. For each cup of rice, I add 1 TBSP of Bacon Jam while it is cooking. This recipe is perfect as is but I like more flavor without taking too much away from this wonderful dish. Thanks for sharing!!
