These cookies are better than they had the right to be! I was searching for a cookie recipe that had no butter since I was out. I made these without the peanuts and with creamy peanut butter instead of chunky. The results were outstanding. The cookies were soft and round, and chewy on the inside. Even a couple days later they still taste just as good. This is a new staple in my cookbook. Thank you so much for posting!

Prior to using this recipe, I wasn't a member of Recipe Zaar. After baking them I HAD to join and give it five stars. The ingredients are so simple, recipe was easy to follow, and the cookies turned out delicious. Big hit for my family! :)

Not bad for a no-butter cookie, but could use a little more peanut butter flavor (but that is probably because I did not have any peanuts to use in them, just the peanut butter). Overall I reccommend it though for a healthy alternative to a common PB cookie! I only needed to cook them for 8-8.5 minutes though and they were done.

Amazing! These had my family begging for more! I made them in the shape of footballs for the super bowl and used a very small fork to make the fork lines look like stitching on a football! These have become my family's new Sunday football treat! Thanks so much!

WARNING! These are too good. I thought my mom's were the best PB cookies, but these have her beat by a smidge. Do not make if you don't have cookie control.

These really do need to be flattened - they won't spread out at all.
I tried to make them a bit healthier by using only whole wheat flour, I also didn't use any peanuts and used smooth peanut butter - but they came out too dry and hard (-perhaps more liquid would work?)
However, adding about one average-sized banana to this combination makes the most irresistible heavenly cookies! (and they were soft too.)
I'm always looking for recipes without butter or margarine. Thank you!

Excellent cookies. Soft and peanutty. I used natural creamy PB, mixed nuts and replaced the brown sugar with Xylitol. The kids love them and I can serve them with a clear conscience! The recipe makes 36, two-bite cookies.

Alright. So I needed a dessert recipe with no butter, and I stumbled across this. I'm usually not a fan of peanut butter, but these were delicious. I didn't use peanuts at all, used creamy peanut butter, and used regular sugar instead of brown sugar (I really need to go shopping). Also I added chocolate chips. I definitely thought something was wrong when the recipe said 1/4 cup milk and the batter was very dry, but nevertheless I cooked it and they turned out fantastic. Awesome recipe.
