No-Bake Fudge Nougats

Top Review by dosercl_11567129

I have been making these for years. The recipe actually comes from a Pillsbury Bake Off (15th) Booklet circa 1964. They are just like homemade fudge except that they never fail. I have made what I think are a couple of improvements to the recipe. After the milk and sugar and butter have cooked for 10 min., instead of adding the choco chips next, I whisk in the flour and let it cook a min or so to get rid of the rawness, then continue as written with the addition of 1/2 C of smooth peanut butter along with the choco, cracker crumbs, nuts and vanilla. Delicious!
