1. Do you make the pudding or just dissolve the pudding powder into the milk?

 1. I have been making this for years and everyone who eats it loves it. It is my 14 year olds favorite birthday cake. The only difference in my recipe vs. this one is that I make the chocolate topping from scratch. It is very easy and I always have the ingredients on hand. I take 3 Tablespoons of butter and melt them in a pan add 1/4 C cocoa, mixing well over low heat. Then I add 1 1/2 Cups powdered sugar, 2 teaspoons vanilla, 3 Tablespoons milk, and 2 teaspoons light syrup; blend well until combined. Frost the cake and refrigerate overnight. It makes the perfect amount of frosting, no leftovers. Also, make sure you get French vanilla pudding because regular just doesn't taste as good. (I made that mistake once!)

 2. This type of dessert is always a big hit at the various functions I take it to. In fact, I made one today to take to our church's Homecoming tomorrow. It is helpful to let your cool whip get a little soft before trying to mix into the pudding. Otherwise you will have to work at getting the lumps out. Also, if you don't have enough time to let it sit overnight, you can dip your graham crackers in milk before layering them. This will help them soften quicker.

 3. Really good! Just make sure you FOLD in the Cool Whip. I made it the first time and it turned out great. It took overnight for the crackers to soften and for it to taste eclair-like. The second time I made it, I was distracted and on the phone, and I did not fold in the Cool Whip, I stirred. Big mistake! It broke down the cool whip and made it kind of runny. Not terrible, but definitely not as good as the first time. More like banana pudding consistency. I also think it's a good idea to let the pudding set for a few minutes. I noticed I did not do that the second time either. Other than that... it was SO good! My husband hates pudding so I ended up eating it all myself (took me a few days lol). I didn't really think it would taste like an eclair, and even after I made it, and waited a few hours I tasted it and wasn't convinced. But after it set overnight it was perfect!

 4. I love to cook and bake and spend many hours in the kitchen on the weekends. It was a huge surprise to me that I would like this recipe so very much. I cannot believe how easy and inexpensive it is to make. The raves I get off of this dessert are every bit the same as what I receive when I spend 5 hours baking a dessert.

 5. This is a wonderful, easy recipe, and the kids loved putting it together. We used light versions of almost everything (pudding, milk, cool whip, and frosting) and it came out great. This is a great way to feed a craving without using up a whole day's worth of calories. Thanks a million, Quest4ZBest!

I currently live in Arizona and although when I moved here I was sure I'd hate it - I absolutly love it here! My husband and I have owned our own business for almost 10 years and have a flexible schedule which I love! The most important thing to me right now is my family - I couldn't be happier to be a Mom! I don't want to miss out on a thing! I love to cook. I know it's nerdy, but I am a huge interest in food storage, canning, and emergency prepardness (don't make fun). Give me a wheat grinder and I'm in heaven! I also love photography, everything about the outdoors, sewing, playing cards, and playing with my girls. Pet peeve, by far, is when I am forced to waste time (traffic, waiting in line, etc.) I guess I'm just one impatient woman!
src="http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/susied214/permanent%20collection/Adopted1smp.jpg" border="0" alt="Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket">
