    These are delicious. It is my own recipe and I enjoy them cold or hot. Especially nice covered in chocolate sauce--a dinner party favourite with my guests. Make triple portions!

    Directions:

      Heat oven gas 4 or 180°C.

      Set out 9 paper bun cases.
    3. 3
      Sieve flour, coco powder and bicarbonate in to a bowl.

      Beat egg with milk.
    5. 5
      Melt the butter, sugar and syrup in a pan then pour in to flour.
    6. 6
      Stir in egg and milk until it is a creamy mixture.
    7. 7
      Spoon in to paper cases.
    8. 8
      Cook for 20 minutes on a middle shelf.
