This recipe was featured on the "Nigella" show. This is a great alternative to those horrid powedered drinks. A perfect Summer drink. Nigella apparently likes hers with a little vodka.
- 1 whole lemon
- 59.16 ml caster sugar (to taste)
- 50 g raspberries
- 500 ml fizzy or still water
- ice cube, to serve
- Cut lemon into 8 wedges.
- Put the lemon, sugar, raspberries and water into a blender for preference, or a food processor, and blitz until the lemon is pureed.
- Sieve the pink lemonade into a jug, and then pour into tumblers filled with ice.
I remember watching this on tv, and she served it up in a great big jug, I meant to make it then and didn't but I am so pleased to make it today for such a worthy cause, breast cancer awareness week. I used fizzy water and it has such a tang to it I think a bit vodka would be nice if you wish. Made for breast cancer awareness 09.
A GREAT LEMONADE, & you don't even have to squeese the lemon (Well, you could give it a little squeese, I suppose, just before tossing it whole into the blender!)! I, too, used club soda & thoroughly enjoyed the combo of lemon & raspberry flavors! Thanks, much! [Tagged, made & reviewed in Think Pink in Honor of Breast Cancer Awareness]
Wow, this pretty drink was absolutely wonderful. I really enjoyed this sweet, tart, tangy raspberry lemonade. It was so quick and easy to make. I used club soda, for a lovely fizzy drink. Thanks so much for sharing, my new favourite lemonade.
