  1. It's a nice flavorful sauce, BUT....It's not a New York style pizza sauce by a long shot. This is more in line with a Spaghetti sauce. Yes, there is a difference. I was very disappointed.

  2. Yes! This is it! Just make sure to get GOOD canned tomatoes and paste.

  3. Very yummy as is w no tweaks. I made it prior and couldn't stop dipping. Topping on a cauliflower crust

  4. This recipe is a real find and with just minor changes is awesome! I do not like oregano so I left it out. Will decrease salt next time to 1/2 teaspoon. Used fire roasted tomatoes - my favorite. This is a very thick sauce so I added a splash of water to thin it out. Just put everything in blender if you want a smoother sauce - couldn't be easier. Still 5 stars and will become my go to recipe for pizza sauce. Thanks so much for posting!

  5. Wow! This sauce was so flavorful! My family loved it!

Tweaks

  1. Great sauce! I used italian seasoning instead of oregano and it turned out great. Thanks for the recipe.

  2. why isn't it crushed instead of diced for spread and texture? do most sauces use diced?

  3. Fresh garlic. Fresh oregano. Good Italian canned and and paste. I warm it in a small pot (don't cook). This helps blend the flavors.
